D21 Artspace is a members’ association. People interested in art can actively take part as well as support our work by paying the membership fee or with donations (PayPal to spenden@d21-leipzig.de).
Moreover, all members (and those interested in becoming members) can join a project group for realizing an exhibition concept in our space. Two D21 Artspace members will also be part of the advisory board which discusses and develops the framework planning for the art space’s future program on a two year rota.
Your membership benefits:
- advance information about the exhibitions and the program at D21 Artspace
- free access to all D21 events (exhibitions, talks, concerts, film screenings, etc.)
- the right to speak and vote at the general meeting
- free admission to all of the ca. 270 art associations that are members of AdKV (Arbeitsgemeinschaft deutscher Kunstvereine)

1. Active Membership
You would like to get to know our work and actively participate in our projects? We are looking for new team members! As an active member you can look behind the scenes of an art space and get involved in different aspects of our work, depending on your interests. Would you like to gain some experiences in this field? We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Active membership fee: 40,-/18,- € per year (reduced fee for students, unemployed, Leipzig Pass holders)
2. Friends
As a regular member, you support D21 Artspace’s non-profit work with your member’s fee and your interest in our projects. You are welcome to visit the art space and join in discussions; moreover, your feedback and your participation in the general meeting will help in the further development of D21 Artspace.
Friends membership fee: 60,- € per year
3. Sponsoring Member
We deeply appreciate private support of our voluntary, non-profit work at D21 Artspace Leipzig. A sponsoring membership helps us to plan ahead and strengthens the standing of D21 Artspace in Leipzig’s cultural landscape. Private support contributes considerably to a vibrant artistic development and the development of young artists. It also supports cultural diversity in Leipzig, the re-vitalizing of the Lindenau neighborhood, and also the development of spaces for societal participation.
Sponsoring member: from 210,- € per year
As a sponsoring member, you will have all the regular members’ benefits, and also receive
- personal invitations to all exhibition openings
- exclusive tours of the exhibitions with the curators and the artists that are part of the exhibition
