The Laotian-French artist Vanasay Khamphommala invites us in private households and in the intimacy of “others”. The secret and site-specific intervention «Ich singe für dich nackt im Austausch gegen eine Mahlzeit» refers to culture of nomadic exchange, linguistic complexities as well as cultural customs and performatively becomes a satire on the GDR’s obsession with the “world cultures” amongst socialist countries.
