What happens today will change our tomorrow. Fragility determines our everyday life, resilience is in high demand, longings build a utopia of future co-existence. What is normal for some, is an exception for others. And where there is a state of exception, there is also a crisis. Who benefits from unsafe conditions, who provides care work, what opportunities for participation exist? What chances present themselves in states of exception, and how can we make use of them?
Our topic of the year 2022 looks into current crises and chances. After two years of pandemic and in the light of numerous global political conflicts and an ongoing climate crisis, we want to open a space where present-day dissonances can resonate. We believe that exchange, above all, can help to overcome crises. Therefore communication, participation, and mediation are at the center of our 2022 projects.
