What is happening today, changes what is about to come tomorrow. Fragilities determine everyday life, resilience is required, longings build a utopia of future coexistence. What is a norm to some, is an exception to others. A state of emergency implies that there is a crisis. Who benefits from unsafe conditions? Who does care work? Which possibilities of participation are there? Which opportunities can be found in those exceptional states and how can they be made use of?

The annual theme 2022 takes a look at the crises and opportunities of our time. After two years of pandemic, and in the face of numerous political, global conflicts as well as the ongoing climate crisis we would like to grant visibility to the dissonances of our time. We believe that, above all, crises can be overcome through mutual exchange. For this reason, this year we are focusing on projects with understanding, participation and mediation at their core. We cordially invite you to be visitors and participants of different formats such as exhibitions, screenings, lectures, discussions and workshops
